Pros and Cons

All relationships have their good and bad. They take up a lot of your time, but do you have this time? You have work, friends, family, hobbies, ect. Do you have the time to “waste” on a relationship?

If you think of a long distance relationship, you will most likely think that its rather hard and not worth it. You cannot; see your significant other all the time, be together, there’s the emotional stress you’ll go through, don’t get to experience all hat “normal” relationship stuff. You will miss your partner, think about him/her all the time. You have to have trust in each other. It is hard. And, of course, you don’t get to be intimate with each other all the time. You cannot hug, kiss, have sex. (But hey, if you don’t get to have sex, you don’t have to shave, right? )

But long distance relationships do work!

If you are in a long distance relationship, you have time for your friends, you can concentrate on work and on your hobbies. When your significant other is finally around, you will enjoy the moments even more. Your relationship will be more intense when you are finally together. For me, a big plus is, that I have time for myself, I can decide when and if I want to talk to my babe.

And, your partner is still available for you Everywhere you go. You have the internet, the internet is on your side with things like; Skype, Facebook, WhatsApp, Facetime, whatever. A tip I want to give you: Make as many memories as you can together. Take pictures, be creative, paint together. When you are apart, you can look at the things, and they will remember you about the good times together.

Don’t let a relationship destroy your life. I think, a long distance relationship will bring you two closer, because you are not able to be together every day. So, enjoy the moments you get to experience together. Missing someone and being sad is okay. But, look forward to the times you will meet again, your relationship will improve.
